 Jordon
Name Meaning and History

English, French, German, Polish, and Slovenian; Spanish and Hungarian (Jordán): from the Christian baptismal name Jordan.
This is taken from the name of the river Jordan (Hebrew Yarden, a derivative of yarad ‘to go down’, i.e. to the Dead Sea).
At the time of the Crusades it was common practice for crusaders and pilgrims to bring back flasks of water from the river in which John the Baptist
had baptized people, including Christ himself, and to use it in the christening of their own children.
As a result Jordan became quite a common personal name.

The Story Behind This Biblical Christian Baby Name

There is one very brief mention of this name in the book of Nehemiah. A man named Jadon from a place called Merenoth helped to rebuild the walls and gates of Jerusalem.
The city of Jerusalem was the holy city to the Jewish people, and this was a big deal, repairing the defenses and revitalizing this place central to the sacrificial system and holy celebrations of their religious beliefs and political identity as a nation.

Although Nehemiah gets a lot of the fame for this rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem, there were many people who were a part of this grand and dangerous project.
They faced much opposition, and the violence threatened against them was enough that half of them would stand guard with weapons at the ready while the other half did the building work. Even the construction workers kept a sword in their belts at all times, just in case.

Every person involved in this construction effort is a hero, including Jadon the Merenothite.

Scriptures for the Name Jadon

Nehemiah 3:7 (specific mention of Jadon) For the whole wall-rebuilding story, start with Nehemiah 2

Jadon in the Bible Encyclopedia - ISBE
ja'-don (yadhon, perhaps "he will judge" or "plead"): One who helped to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem in company with the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah (Neh 3:7). He is called the "Meronothite," and another Meronothite is referred to in
1 Ch 27:30, but there is no mention of a place Meronoth. Jadon is the name given by Josephus (Ant., VIII, viii, 5; ix, 1) to "the man of God" from Judah who confronted Jeroboam as he burned incense at the altar in Bethel, and who was afterward deceived by the lie of the old prophet (1 Ki 13). Josephus may probably have meant Iddo the seer, whose visions concerning Jeroboam (2 Ch 9:29) led to his being identified in Jewish tradition with "the man of God", from Judah. James Crichton

Dit Name
dit pronounced "dee"

"Dit" in French means "say"
A Dit Name is a name used in conjunction with a Surname to identify families.
The Dit Name was usually the name of a certain Ancestor.
The use of Dit Names was common only in French people

Dit name was:
"Lacoudray" or "Delacoudre"
This name appears in the PRDH

Ancestry.com has the dit name recorded as Dubouchet
.
It appears that both of these names were utilized by Claude's son Charles for reasons that are unclear at this time.
They are certainly the same person because everything else lines up.
However for some reason he dropped the dit name Lacoudray for Dubouchet.
Lacoudray was the original dit name according to all of our French Canadian sources.

Lacoudray is of Norman-French origin, and it is a locational name from places in Normandy, called "Coudrai", in Seine-Maritime, and "Coudray"

From here the surname changes from the English variant to the original French De Jadon
Enos, and his father Anthony's first names both change back to their original French names as well.
These are the two people that were the hardest to trace because of this name change.
It should be noted that these two men are the reason why we are Americans, and at this time it's not clear how much hell they may have had to endure so we could be free!

The family had been here in the Ticonderoga, and Hague area since about 1839 or so.
Anthony, and his family moved to Ticonderoga, NY from St Albans, VT
Anthony, and his family crossed the boarder from Lower Canada / Quebec, Canada with his family into St Albans VT at about 1819.

It seems clear that Anthony Jordon AKA Antoine De Jadon crossed the boarder into VT with his wife Louise Demers AKA Eliza, and their kids that they had at that time.

Enos / Ignace De Jadon
Anthony Jr. De Jadon
Harry (possibly Henry) De Jadon
Louise AKA Eliza De Jadon
Mary Julie De Jadon

They had more kids in Vt, before they moved to Ticonderoga, NY at about 1839

Coming to America:

I Chad Jordon called on Enos Jordon's Naturalization Papers on May 1st 2008 after learning of it's existence via the internet.
http://www.co.warren.ny.us/records/Naturalization%20index.html
I called to see if they could find it, and they did!
On May 2nd 2008 I Chad Jordon went to "Records Storage & Archives" located in the Warren County Municipal Center, in
Lake George, New York.
I picked up a copy of Enos Jordon's Naturalization Papers, and it has his signature on it.
Enos Jordon applied for Naturalization on 10/11/1844 in Warren County, New York
Enos signed his name
"Enos Jordon"
NOTE: the surname was spelled with a "don" and NOT a "dan"
It states that he was born in the "Lower Providence of Canada"
The "Lower Providence of Canada" is modern day (Quebec)

The "Lower Providence of Canada" back then it consisted of part of the former French colony of New France, which was populated mainly by French Canadians,
which was ceded to Great Britain.
More on Lower Providence of Canada here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lower_Canada

http://www.answers.com/topic/lower-canada

NOTE:
Enos Jordon's name is spelled "Enos Jourdan" although the spelling on the document is spelled "Jourden" in the Warren County records.
Enos put in for Naturalization Papers on 10/11/1844 in Warren County, New York.
(Warren County Index 1813-1906

ALSO NOTE:
He signed his Naturalization Papers "Enos Jordon"
The person who written up his
Naturalization Papers is the one who spelled it "Jourden"
This is a clerical error that happened allot before name standardization. This can cause much confusion, and doubt for a researcher.

It has been passed down orally to Earnest and his Wife Inza Jordon (maiden name Wells)
That Charles Jordon's father stated that his Father was from Canada. Charles Father is Enos Jordon
We have been able to validate this with documentation from Enos's Naturalization Papers.

French women in Canada, and France did not take the husbands surname, they kept their maiden name after they were married.
When they came to America they adopted many customs of America to blend in, such as women taken their husbands surname, and
changing the spelling of the surname from it's French variant to Americanize themselves.
Surnames often times had many different forms, because there was no name standardization years ago.
This means that a given name or a surname could be open for interpretation on how it was to be spelled.

At this point we do not know where Anthony & his Wife Eliza are buried.
We think that they are possibly buried somewhere in the Catholic Cemetery on the vineyard Road, with no headstones or destroyed headstones.
We feel this is a strong possibility because Anthony lived with Moses & his daughter Mary Wells / Jarvis which was on Street Road.
That is also where Moses & Mary are buried.
Street Road was a inhabited by the French who migrated from Quebec, Canada.

On October 28 2009 Chad Jordon finally found the where Anthony, and his son Enos were from.
They were both born in Quebec, Canada along the
Richelieu River.
From there I was able to trace the family lines back to France with the help of the "PRDH"

Religion & Occupation

1. The Family has been, and is still mostly "Roman Catholic" which is what the early settlers of Canada were.

2. The description of their jobs fits the location of their jobs, and the timeline.
Their Jobs were "agriculture" (Farming)
"Boatmen" (One who works on, deals with, or operates boats.) who worked on the canal's
"Laborers"
commonly spelled (Labourer) in old documentation (built the canals) (farm hands) general labor.

Enos Jordon was a "Laborer"
which often times meant (farm hands) according to the 1850 Census.
Charles Jordon was a Laborer (farm hands) according to his death certificate.
Charles Jordon was a Boatman according to his 1880 census record.
Riley Jordon was a Laborer Graphite Mines according to his 1910 census record. He was a Laborer 1930.
Most that are alive today know that Pa (Riley Jordon) raised his kids on "Jordon's Farm" in Hague, New York.
We know that Pa did farming, and so did his kids at least until they were old enough to go out on their own.

With this in mind it seems logical to believe that they must have work in, on, and around the St. Lawrence sea way, Richelieu River, and Lake Champlain.
Most of them were all farmers even my Grandfather (Arthur Jordon) did farming growing up, and so did his father Pa, and
his father Charles was a Laborer, which meant farming, we know this from eye witness's such as
Arthur Jordon who is (Charles grandson),
Inza Jordon (Maiden Name Wells) and Kate Hunter a long time friend of the family.

Enos was a Laborer who had done farming.
Enos's Son Walter was a Boatman, Enos's brother David was a Boatman as well.
Charles was a Boatman according to the 1880 census.

Some of them may have even helped build the canals around St. Lawrence sea way.
They certainly worked very close to water at the very least for agricultural, and transport reasons.
So it would make sense they lived close to the water because the water was the main mode of travel back then, which was before the the Railroad was built 1840's
The Richelieu River was the highway of transportation especially over long distances.

Timeline:

Despite what people might think now a days, people moved around allot centuries ago.
We find this in the old French records that Claude as been to many places in France, such as:

Paris, Saint-Roch, France
Etroussat, France
St Cyprien, France
Bellenaves, France
Monteignet, France
Escurolles, France
Bellenaves, France

They also lived in or near Bourbonnais, France to Quebec, Canada Migration Timeline:

Claude, and his son Charles DeJadon came from Bourbonnais, France

About
Bourbonnais, France:
Bourbonnais (būrbônā'), former province, central France, in the northern part of the Massif Central. It was approximately the same area as today's Allier dept.
It is a largely arid plateau (except for the fertile Limagne area in the west). The chief cities are Moulins, Montluçon, and Vichy.
Moulins, the ancient capital, has many historical monuments. The counts (later dukes) of Bourbon held the Bourbonnais as an appanage until 1527,
when Francis I of France confiscated it upon the death of the constable Charles of Bourbon.

Enos Jordon was born in St-Luc (St-Jean) Quebec, Canada in November 1812

his father was
Antoine Nicolas DeJadon
Born December 1785 in Pointe-Olivier (St-Mathias) Québec, Canada

Quebec, Canadian to Vermont, American Boarder Crossing Timeline:

Enos Jordon was born in St-Luc (St-Jean) Quebec, Canada in November 1812
his father was
Antoine Nicolas DeJadon
Born December 1785 in Pointe-Olivier (St-Mathias) Québec, Canada

Anthony, and Enos both came from St-Luc Quebec, Canada.
They came into Saint Albans, Vermont sometime before the 1820 census, and sometime after the birth of
Mary Jordon who was born "M Julie DeJadon" she was born in 1819 in St-Luc Quebec, Canada.
We then see Anthony, and his family in Saint Albans the next year in the 1820 Franklin County, VT census.
This gives us a one year window of when they may have crossed the boarder into Vermont.
Anthony was not in the 1810 Franklin County, VT census.

Vermont to Ticonderoga, New York Crossing Timeline:

The Jordon family moved from Fairfield, Vermont, to Ticonderoga, New York about 1839.
We come to this conclusion by Enos's Naturalization papers which were registered in 1844 in Warren County NY, it states that Enos was here in New York for five years.
So Anthony must have moved here right after the 1830 Franklin County Fairfield, Vermont census, and then end up in the 1840 Ticonderoga, New York's census.
He had a family in Franklin County, Vermont for about 30 years.
http://www.census-online.com/links/VT/Franklin/

We see Anthony in the 1840 census in Ticonderoga as well as in Vermont at the same time. New York must have the their census right after they moved to New York.
For him to show up in two census records.
We see that he has a large family living with him at this point of time.

1 Male between the ages of 50, and 60. This has to be Anthony
1 female, between the ages of 40 and 50 years of age. This as to be Eliza

  Anthony's Boys
It shows him having 2 boys between the ages of 5 and 10 years old.
3 boys that are between the ages of 20, and 30 years old.

Anthony's Girls
1 female, under 5 years of age.
2 females,
between the ages of 10 and 15 years of age. (Catharine Born in 1826) (Sarah "Osier" Jordan born 1827)
3 females, between the ages of 15 and 20
years of age. (Mary Julie "Wells" Jordan born 1818)
2 females, between the ages of 20 and 30 years of age. (Eliza Born in 1818)

This gives a grand total of 13 kids living with him in1840.

We also see him in the 1850, 1860, and the 1870's census records.

Some of the Family remain in Ticonderoga to this very day.

Many families came from Canada into Vermont, in the early 1800's One particular family is the Wells / Javasis / Gervasis family.
It seems that they may have met, and then traveled down the Richelieu River together, which would have been the main mode of transportation back then
into Franklin County Vermont.
Then they came into Ticonderoga, New York in 1840 both families came to Ticonderoga, New York.

Anthony living with a "Moses & Mary Wells" It turns out that Mary is Anthony's daughter.
In the Ticonderoga, New York 1870 Census, and it says that they are from Canada as well, except for Mary.
Moses Wells original surname was
"Gervasis" or (Jarvis) he came from "Sorel" Lower Canada (Quebec)

So what we are seeing is a Migration of at least of two families out of Canada into Vermont, and then into Ticonderoga, New York
"Moses & Matilda Wells" are buried in the St. Mary's Cemetery in the far back right side as you walk in.
The older Moses Wells. Moses was married to Mary Jordon who was the daughter of Anthony who was living with them in the 1870 census at the end of his life.
Moses
Wells / Javasis / Gervasis came from Sorel Canada.

There reasons for leaving Quebec and into Vermont was due to the British ruling their Homeland, and ruining their crops, and their way of life.
http://www.flowofhistory.org/themes/movement_settlement/french.php
Also they were not allowed to practice their Roman Catholic faith under British rule.

Quebec ( in Quebec (province, Canada): Settlement patterns

The Appalachian region was first inhabited by Abenaki people.
The southeastern corner of the province that includes the towns of Granby, Sherbrooke, and Magog is known as the Eastern Townships,
which were originally settled by loyalists seeking asylum during the American Revolution in what remained British territory.
Settlement of the Eastern Townships was by freehold tenure, and this attracted considerable numbers of British settlers following the end of the War of 1812.
Throughout the latter half of the 19th century, a great many American and British settlers sold out to French Canadian habitants,
who received encouragement and financial support from French Canadian Catholic colonization societies.

Family Crest / Coat of Arms

Armorial général de France

Jadon family crest / coat of arms.

Charles-Christophe de Jadon Esenier sieur DuBouchat was the father of Claude, and the son of Adrien

Genealogists have a tax initiative to thank for the Armorial général de France. In 1696 in an effort to raise money, Louis XIV issued an edict
requiring all who had armorial bearings to register them and pay an accompanying fee.
In some cases, those who could afford to pay but had no arms would be granted—or even assigned—arms and charged.
Both the noble and the common could bear arms, as could cities (communes) and other organizations.

The work of collecting the information and establishing an official record of French arms fell to Charles-René d'Hozier,
who documented descriptions of the various arms in 35 volumes that make up the Armorial général de France.
The collection (now in the Bibliothèque nationale de France) features nearly 130,000 colored armorial bearings compiled
by d'Hozier between 1696 and 1709 and documents three types: those for (1) individuals or families, (2) cities, and (3) occupations, corporations, or religious orders.

Family names have been indexed for over 115,000 of the armorial bearings and can be searched. The majority of French surnames, over 57,000, may be found in the collection.
This is the first time this armorial collection has been indexed and made searchable online by family name. The images may also be browsed by province or subdivision.

While the collection is not a complete encyclopedia of French arms, it is still a useful source of information on old noble French families.

The Coat of Arms / Crest Meaning

Shield:
Beveled Smooth shield

Shields:
There is some debate as to the meaning of the shape of the shield. Most historians agree that the shape was usually determined by the time period and geographic region.
The shape is not a part of the official blazon, so modern heraldry artists choose shapes to suit the design. Some of the most commonly used designs are shown here.

Blue (Azure):
 Truth and loyalty
http://www.fleurdelis.com/meanings.htm

It seems like the color is yellow, although it could be a very old faded version of gold, and if that's the case:
Gold (Or):
Generosity and elevation of the mind

Chevron:
Protection; Builders or others who have accomplished some work of faithful service

Chevron looks like a rank insignia, however in my studies of this, it doesn't seem to be  the case.
Rock:

Dove:
Loving constancy and peace; outreach; the Holy Spirit; with an olive branch in its bill, it signifies a harbinger of good tidings

De Jadon

Made by Chad Jordon
April 27th 2016

I Chad Jordon recently have found an older crest that is in the direct line of decent.

This is the Crest of
Claude Jadon

There is an older version that does not seem to be in the direct line of decent. It is the same as the one directly above
however the bottom is more rounded, and oval shape.
Whereas the one just above is more bell shaped.

Ethnic Origin

The Patriarchal direct line of
descent is "French"
The French used to be known as "The Franks"
They were barbarians at about 300 A.D.

Here is a detail video from the History Channel about it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA_SSpQDpl4

Before they were The Franks there were the Normans.

The family came from France to
the Providence of Lower Canada, or East Canada which is now known as "Quebec" Canada
they later migrated from St Luc, Quebec, Canada down the
Richelieu River to Saint Albans, and then
Fairfield, Vermont, they moved just before 1840 to Ticonderoga, New York.

St Luc is 50 miles north of St Albans, Vermont. Where we later see Anthony, and his family in the 1820 census.
This time frame was before roads, and railroads.
They always stayed close to the water for good reasons.

Quebec was heavily populated with French speaking people.
It was passed down orally to Earnest, and Inza Jordon (Maiden name Wells) that Enos Jordon came from Canada.
Nnow we have the documentation to prove it.
We also have an eye witness account by Kate Hunter, who is 101 years old, (as of 2008) she states that Charles had a French accent.
Here is a link about the pioneers in Canada.

Before The Franks / Ribuari Franks became The Normans:

Knowing this info is a double edged sword as it is both a Blessing, as well as a curse.
This knowledge is not for the faint of heart, and it has serious implications with your relationship with the Most High after you learn this.

So what does this all mean?
Seek, and you shall find...and here is what I found...

Before they were Normans they had many different identities because they lost their real identity.
This is because they were exiles.
These people were a special race with a special destiny.

Before our ancestors became known as
"The French" they were known as
"The Franks"  before that they were known as the
"Normans" The Normans entered the Northern section of what would later become France.
That area later become known as Normandy. Before they were "Normans" they were known as
"Gauls" and
before that they were known as the
"Parthians"
Before that they were known as
"Scythians" who were captives by the Assyrian's. Prior to their captivity in
Assyria they were from the tribe of
Ruben
, who was one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel.
Ruben who was the son of
Jacob
, who was the son of
Issac, who was the son of
Abraham.

Ruben had a lack of control, so much so he had sex with his step mother.
To this very day the French still exhibit many of the traits of Ruben such as their
hyper driven libido.

CHARLES ONLY HAS THIS MAKESHIFT HEADSTONE AT THIS TIME!
He would be buried almost straight down from where Pa (Riley Jordon) is buried in a wide
open space. We believe his he buried next to some of his Son's, and they have no headstones.

We found obituary's that state that Charles's sons were buried in this cemetery too so it stands to reason that they might be buried next to if not close to Charles

This info is from an old obituary.

Louise Loretta--Etta, Lorrie, Retta Lorraine--Lorrie Louise/Louisa--Lou, Eliza, Lois Lucille--Lu, Lou, Cille, Lucy Lucinda--Cindy, Lu, Lou, Lucy Luella--Ella, Lu, Lula Lydia/Lidia--Lyddy.

This site proves this too...
http://www.genealogytoday.com/genealogy/enoch/nicknames.html
Louise Eliza, Eloise, Lois, Lou, Lulu - (m) Louis.

This site says the same thing...
http://www.tngenweb.org/franklin/frannick.htm
Eliza, Eloise, Issie, Lois, Lou, Lulu - (m) Louis. So after much research it seems very clear that Eliza is certainly Louise. It's also worth pointing out that the French often times had 4 or 5 names 2 sometimes three given names, nick names, and with dit names & surnames can be another 2 or 3 names. Louise aka Maire Louise aka (Eliza) is seen in the birth records of Mary Julie, & Louise, it is in Mary's death record states her maiden name has being Jordon, however it has her parents last name wrong, it is listed as Jarvis which is Mary's married name. It says her parents are Anthony & Elizabeth short for Eliza. Rather the full name of Eliza was somehow a mistake or not is of no great consequence, as it proves it is the same lady that was at her birth. which is listed in her birth record.

These sources clearly show how the name Eliza can be a nickname for
Louise.

As far as Louise AKA Eliza's last name it seems very clear that she dropped her last name Demers, and was Americanized by taking on her husbands surname Jordon, which helped them blend in better.
French woman kept their maiden name, as it was a custom.

We now have the birth records of Enos, and Anthony Jr. so it stands to reason that Harry or possibly Henry was also born in Canada they migrated with their father Anthony to St Albans Vermont at about 1819.
We know this because we see Anthony in the 1820 Vermont Fairfield County census record. Anthony's daughter Eliza Jordan was born in 1818 with the name Louise.

These three men have always showed many different places of birth, and different years of birth.
It seems very clear that they were trying to repress their origins so that they could blend into the melting pot of America. No doubt to escape the repressive British that invaded Lower Canada, and instilled martial law.

Enos Naturalization Letter of Intent states he was born in Lower Providence of Canada which is modern day Quebec.
Anthony Jr. was born in Canada,
Harry's
(possibly Henry) daughter in one census states her father is from Canada.
Eliza / Louise was born in Canada.
Mary, the Drouin Collection, and everyone on Ancestry.com states she was born in Canada.

The early Jordon family were certainly not loyalist to the crown, and that certainly put them at odds with the British who were infiltrating Canada in that era.
Perhaps that's why we all have a little bit of rebel in us, and perhaps that's why we can't stand to see an injustice happen.
Not to mention the fact that we hate to see an out of control government!

NOTE:
Many documents contradict others documents, it seems very evident that great lengths were taken to not have any
birth, death, baptisms, or marriages record where Enos was really born from.
Each record states something different, but since finding his Naturalization papers it is clear why.
It's not like the family didn't know where he was born because it was passed down orally.

My Direct Ancestors Children, and their Families:
Anthony Jordon & Louise Demers aka (Eliza Jordon)
Married in Chambly Quebec, Canada in 1806

Had 9 Children that we know of:
Enos Jordon & Eliza Alden
Married about 1842

Had 8 possibly 9 Children:

Charles Jordon & Sarah Newton
Married 1886

Had 8 Children:

Riley Jordon & Henriettia Morhouse Married?

Had 14 Children:
Arthur Jordon &
Beatrice Fish
Married 1950

Had 6 Children:

Anthony Jr. Jordon
Born 1814 in Chambly, Quebec

Most records claim Anthony Jr was born in
Vermont, however
his birth record that we found in Quebec
that has him linked with his parents,
and other siblings clearly shows that
this generation wanted to sever their ties to Canada.

His last name is recorded as "Dyadon"
Again Yadon is a Hebrew name found only once in the
Bible in Nehemiah 3:7
The letter "Y" was used
before the letter "J" came into existence.
The letter "J" later replaced the latter "Y"
For centuries the letter "J"
had the same pronunciation as the letter "Y"

We see him in the
1870, and 1880 census in Illinois

Harry was married to Mary Jordon

Harry most likely started out as a nickname for Henry,
English speaking people often have a hard time
understanding French speaking people.
However this name
Harry seems to be used has his real name.

Catharine Jordan

Not sure which one is Cathrine.
One is most likely a sister because they look allot alike

Mary Jordan

(Child unknown at the time) Moses left, and Mary Right

On 6-15-11 my wife & I visited our local
Ticonderoga town hall
to see if we could obtain more info on
Mary's death certificate.
Much to our surprise it's riddled with errors.
For one thing it said
she was single, her headstone proves she was
still married to Moses Wells, and her obituary proves this also.
The second thing is, it states her maiden name was Jordon,
but had has her parents are listed as Anthony & Elizabeth Jarvis.
Which is clearly Anthony & Eliza Jordon!
Because no where in any records from NY, VT, to Canada
do we see a Anthony Jarvis nor do
we see a Eliza Jarvis, and certainly no couple with that name.
Furthermore her maiden name proves that
her parents surnames were indeed Jordon
Her death certificate, and should have read
Anthony & Elizabeth Jordon.

Mary Jordon born 1817-1896

Mary Jordon Married
Moses Gervais (Wells) dit Rivard
who was born
February 20 1814 in St-Pierre
Sorel, Quebec Canada.
He was naturalized in 1827

Both Mary & Moses are buried
on the Vineyard Cemetery,
its an old Catholic cemetery.
It is believed that those who are
buried there were not baptized.
After much study I came to the conclusion
that they were all baptized,
just not in America which means they had no
witnesses to prove that they were.
As all that are buried there seems to be of
Catholic faith, and came from other Countries.
This is where we believe Anthony is buried, and
possibly his wife Louise aka  Eliza

Mary's Obituary

Sarah Jordan (Cryier)

Josiah Jordan
Born about 1826

Right now this is all we have on Josiah:

Josiah Jordan....24.... Male....White....Farmer....Born in New York in 1826

Philansa Jordan....22 yrs old....Female....White....Born in New York in 1828

Henriette Jordan....2 years old....Female....White....New York in 1848

This is taken from the 1850 census records.
There are no records of any Jordon's in the area of Hague, NY
or Ticonderoga, NY in 1826 which stands to reason he was
probably Anthony Sr. son, and he hasn't shown up any any
records before this period or since...as of yes anyway.

http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nywarren/census/1850/hague/page1.htm

NOTE:

It would seem very likely that
Anthony would have more kids given the
duration between Birth years of his known children,
It seems likely that
Anthony may have had more girls who got
Married, and the names lost in time.
This makes it extremely difficult to find them
because of last name change.
This era is before good record keeping began.
This compacts the problem of
finding more details, and other relatives.

Note:
We don't know anything else about this child. We are not even sure if this is Enos's son.
He might even be Anthony's son which is doubtful giving Eliza is passed the age of child bearing by this point of time.

Interesting Notes of Comment About Family

Notes About Charles Jordon
My Grandfather Arthur Jordon, and Inza Jordon, and Kate Hunter  (a friend of the family) all tell us that Charles Augustus Jordon
could dance, play the fiddle, and the mouth organ (Harmonica) like no one else.
All say that he was a very talented musician.
The 1880 census says that Charles was a Boatman, the rest of the census records state he was a laborer.
His death certificate also states he was a Day Laborer.
